Ford – Mrs. Virgie Gilliam Bland, 84 of 8719 Colemans Lake Road, Ford, Virginia, departed this lifestyle on Tuesday July 27, 2021, at Question City Wellbeing and Rehabilitation, Hopewell, VA.
She was the daughter of the late William Harris and Susie Spriggs Harris. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Gilliam Yates, Son-in-regulation Kelvin Corridor, and her partner Curtis Bland.
She was baptized at an early age and a faithful and dedicated member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Ford, Virginia. She served on the Senior Usher Board for a number of decades as the secretary. She was also a member of the Pastor’s Assist and Women’s Ministry, as properly as serving as the coordinator of the Missionary Ministry right until her wellbeing started to decrease. She was also the mother of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Ford, Virginia.
She retired from Titmus Optical with 30 decades of provider and Solo Optical. She was used at the Walmart Distribution Heart and Walmart Supercenter, Colonial Heights.
She was a member of the Dinwiddie Teaching School Course of 1954 Dinwiddie Teaching School.
She was an exquisite woman who has definitely trendy and regarded as the “Diva”, and cherished fantastic jewellery. She liked life and will deeply missed by all who understood and beloved hear dearly.
She leaves to cherish her reminiscences, two devoted daughters, by her late partner Arthur Gilliam Wanda Hall, of Hopewell, VA, and Debra Talley (Allen) of Petersburg, VA devoted granddaughter, Zerecia Gilliam-Simmons of Hampton, VA grand daughter, Kenay Burgess wonderful granddaughter , Nicole Lee Simmons of Hampton, VA and sister, Betty Seay of Kenbridge, VA.
