The Lorraine Mills Fest is established for this weekend at 560 Mineral Spring Ave., Pawtucket. This celebration of the diverse, community of food items, consume, theater, dance and artwork will be Friday, Sept. 10 from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 11 from 1-5 p.m. There will be food vans, craft cocktails and beer, game titles, prizes, and arts and crafts.  Just Like Nana’s will be accomplishing “Paint Your Very own Cookie” with the kids. Other food items and consume sellers include: JA Patty, Ming’s Asian Avenue Food items, Masa Taqueria, CHI Kitchen area, Crooked Present Brewery and White Pet dog Distilling.

The Ukrainian Competition at St. Michael Church, 74 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, will be Sunday, Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with cost-free admission and parking. The 35th once-a-year 3-Day Cranston Greek Festival will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation on the parish grounds at 175 Oaklawn Ave., Route 5, Cranston, Sept. 11, 12 and 13. Guests sample a huge wide variety of Greek food items include gyros, roast lamb, Greek-fashion hen, souvlaki, pastitsio, spanakopita and tiropita. Desserts made by teams of parishioners include baklava, galaktoboureko and rice pudding. The pastry choice also includes karidopita (Greek walnut cake), kourabiedes (marriage cookies), koulourakia (Greek butter cookies) and melomakarona (honey cookies) served with Greek espresso, or a “Greek Frappe” (iced coffee).
